Each newsletter will be posted on our website as well as our social pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season with friends and family!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kingshammer.com\/murfreesboro\/wp-content\/uploads\/legacy\/murfreesboro\/2022\/12\/Screenshot-2022-12-14-at-11.56.07-AM-215x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6450\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kings Hammer U7-U14 Surveys Supported by Satori Soccer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we strive to enhance the experiences of our players and families, we\u2019ve identified an opportunity for improvement. This season, to better measure and analyze family experiences, we\u2019ve partnered with Satori Soccer. Satori is a nonprofit that conducts surveys, ensures the confidentiality &amp; accuracy of those surveys, and provides analysis to help clubs measure &amp; improve player experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U7-U14 families should have received the Postseason Survey from Satori Soccer on December 16th. Thank you to everyone who has already provided feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To those who received the survey but haven\u2019t yet responded, please know the survey is easy to complete as it only takes two minutes (unless you choose to provide optional comments). This survey is confidential meaning we will not be able to tell who responded or who said what (we receive average survey scores by team). Please know <strong>it is important that every family responds<\/strong> as we would like to have an accurate view of the experiences on each team throughout the club. The more responses we receive, the more likely we are to make good decisions on where and how to improve.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you did not receive the survey, it is likely due to your email account blocking Satori\u2019s email. We look forward to learning from your confidential feedback and taking action to improve the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coed Winter Training U5-U8<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coed Winter Training will be held January 7th-February 11th for U5(2018)-U8(2015) players at Oakland High School Indoor Facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>U5-U6 Indoor sessions will focus on the introduction of technique followed by small-sided games (3v3). At each session a specific technique is introduced, and players will be able to apply this technique in a game format. Sessions will be led by Mike Smith (U5 and U6 director) and Nathan McBeth (Grassroots Director).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Session FULL!<\/em><\/strong> U7-U8 Indoor sessions will focus on technique followed by small-sided games (3v3). At each session a specific technique is introduced, and players will be able to apply this technique in a game format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline to register is January 4, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spring Recreational Registration Open<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration is open for the 2023 Spring Recreational Season! Little Strikers, TOPSoccer, Youth Rec League and Adult Rec League registration is open now.&nbsp; The deadline to register is February 2nd and a $50 late fee will begin on January 22nd for the Youth Rec League. We appreciate you and your families joining us for this fun weekend of soccer. This year we hosted teams from different states as far as Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. We were treated to some cool, but decent weather for December (except for a little rain on Saturday evening!) and some great games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to all participating teams, coaches, referees, volunteers and staff for making the event such a success!&nbsp;&nbsp;We hope you enjoyed the weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone at future events! Kings Hammer Murfreesboro is looking for caring and enthusiastic coaches to join our organization. <strong><a href=\"\/murfreesboro\/club\/interested-in-coaching\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to fill out our coaching interest form.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kingshammer.com\/murfreesboro\/wp-content\/uploads\/legacy\/murfreesboro\/2022\/10\/MicrosoftTeams-image-18-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6357\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">December Education: Honoring the Game by Respecting Yourself<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past 5 months, we have utilized the Club Newsletters to highlight how players, parents, and coaches can make our games and practices a better environment to love, learn, and share soccer by <em>Honoring the Game &#8211; Respecting the ROOTS<\/em>.&nbsp; As a quick review of what has been covered since the start of the fall season:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ROOTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rules<\/strong>: We refuse to bend and\/or break the rules to win.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Opponents:<\/strong> We value and recognize that a worthy opponent brings out our best, and we take a &#8220;fierce yet friendly&#8221; attitude into competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Officials<\/strong>: We respect officials, even when we disagree with them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Teammates<\/strong>: We support our teammates and never do anything to embarrass our team (on or off the field).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A great deal of the conversation has centered on two key words: HONOR and RESPECT.&nbsp; As we close out our look at the ROOTS, I thought it might be helpful to put some context into these two critical words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HONOR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to hold in great esteem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fulfill (an obligation) or keep (an agreement)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Distinction, privilege, tribute<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Honesty, uprightness, ethics, morals<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RESPECT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Esteem, regard, admiration<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Consideration, thoughtfulness, attentiveness, politeness, courtesy, civility<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final piece of the ROOTS is SELF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Self:<\/strong> We live up to our standards of Honoring the Game \u2013 even when others don\u2019t.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, Players, Parents, and Coaches should be Role Models for those around them in order to encourage and demonstrate the attitude and behavior that will result in Respect and Honor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kingshammer.com\/murfreesboro\/education\/honoring-the-game-by-respecting-yourself\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here to read the full story.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GK Union Save of the Month<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to Madilyn M from KH G07 ECNL &amp; Wyet R from KH B08 ECRL for being named the November GK Union Saves of the Month!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Did you make an incredible save or a game-saving block?
